子安神社の福笹は、笹そのものを授かるだけでは完成しません。

福娘が一つひとつ結び付けることで、福笹は祈りの形となります。
商売繁盛、家内安全、健康長寿、厄除け、そして安産。

At the Hatsu Kotohira Festival, shrine maidens known as Fukumusume present lucky bamboo branches to worshippers.
The Fukumusume serve as messengers who pass the blessings of the deities to the people.
At Koyasu Shrine, the lucky bamboo is not complete on its own.
Worshippers choose charms according to their wishes,
and the Fukumusume carefully attach each charm to the bamboo.
Through this act, the bamboo becomes a physical form of prayer.
Prayers include prosperity in business, household safety, good health, protection from misfortune, and safe childbirth.
Koyasu Shrine is widely known as a shrine for safe childbirth in Tokyo,
